About This Event

The Developmental Disabilities and Autism ECHO Webinar Series brings together individuals, families, educators, healthcare providers, therapists, community professionals, and other supporters to learn from subject matter experts through interactive virtual sessions.

Rather than a traditional webinar, the ECHO model encourages collaborative learning through expert presentations, real-world case discussions, and shared problem-solving. Topics vary throughout the year and may include healthcare, education, transition planning, community supports, Medicaid, behavior, communication, and other issues affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism across the lifespan.

Participants are welcome to join sessions simply to listen, learn, and ask questions. Families and individuals also have the opportunity to serve as case presenters, sharing real-life challenges they are experiencing and receiving collaborative feedback from an interdisciplinary team of experts and fellow participants. Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, school concerns, healthcare questions, or everyday challenges, the ECHO model creates space for shared learning and practical problem-solving.

Why Families May Appreciate It

Finding reliable, practical information can make navigating services and supports feel less overwhelming. The ECHO model creates opportunities for families and professionals to learn together, ask questions, and explore real-world solutions from experts and peers.

One feature that sets this series apart is the opportunity for individuals and families to present their own questions or challenges for discussion. Rather than learning through hypothetical examples alone, participants can receive thoughtful feedback on real situations while contributing to a collaborative community of shared learning.

Because the series covers a broad range of topics across healthcare, education, community supports, and daily life, participants can continue building their knowledge over time while connecting with others who are working toward better outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
